The Champions of Westeros League is 1 game per week with 1 week to play it, where you get paired and contact your opponent to schedule your game. You can change deck each game, if you want. It is running since 2016 following the seasonal calendar (winter, spring, summer and fall).

It's suprisingly balanced for players of all skill levels once you get the hang of the rules. You may take out a loan for 1 gold dragon, however that would count as one of your two loan limit (lannister excluded). The maximum total gold that can be borrowed per round is the printed limit.

Yes, the game is too hard, 'for me'. I play almost exclusively solo and sometimes when revealing a particularly bad encounter card ( a ruinous one), I will slip it into the discard pile and deal out the next one. It makes me feel a little bad but losing everytime feels bad too, haha.

The odd exception may occur where player A may choose to use an action (such as an event) to affect a time that player B has made a challenge against player C, but I think this will be rare.

Firstly, Fealty says "reducemarshal or play" and Blood Orange Grove/Desert Scavenger says "reducemarshal". Since Ambush isn't marshaling or playing the card you are Ambushing in, they cannot reduce the cost to Ambush. Secondly, you cannot use Ambush during the Marshaling phase.
