Theoil temp sender is with the oil level sensor on the bottom of the oil pan. The cheap sensor you found is on the 2.8 engine not the 2.7t. This is from my own experience. Good luck. One more thing, get the oem

Hi new to the forum. I have purchased a A4 1.8T. The problem I have is with the temp gauge. It works when cold but after a few miles down the road it falls back to the bottom (as if car switched off). Previous owner has changed the temp sensor. I also have heat from the blowers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
